Rukka Gore-Tex Leather outfit Merlin received recommendations from Alpentourer Magazine.
"Alpentourer" believes that the Rukka suits with Gore Pro Shell leather laminate make leather suits more attractive for touring riders again, because they combine the abrasion resistance of leather and the comfort of textile. It is pointed out that the Merlin is not only waterproof but that the leather laminate does not soak up water even in heavy rain.

"Tourenfahrer" tested a Merlin suit for several months under all weather conditions and praises its comfort in rain, heat and cold. The testers confirm that the leather laminate is absolutely waterproof and does not soak up water, and that the suit does not heat up too much in the sun thanks to the TFL- treatment and the perforation of the leather. They also like the stormcuffs and the detachable collar.
