Ride on tested the Rukka Roughroad

Ride on tested the Roughroad on a trip to Peru. And they were pretty happy with it. Here are the main statements:

“You can quarrel about the design but not about the quality.”

“Heavy continuous rain in the tropical rain forest, sub-zero temperatures on the Anden mountain pass roads at an attitude of 4.000 meters and more than 35 degrees in the desert – all that is indeed possible with the Rukka Roughroad! The wide cut and the many stretch parts guarantee enough freedom of movement – that’s quite important for an enduro driver. Extensive and well placed protectors provide maximum protection. In case of cold and rain, a detachable inner Gore tex-jacket and  trousers ensure a good climate. The high collar is detachable and an useful transition to the helmet. There is – typically Rukka – a lot of storage possibilities thanks to nine (!) outer and inner bags. The trousers can be open widely, so you can easily put your boots on.”

“Solely the ventilation of the suit is not optimally. A ventilation possibility is also missed at the back.”

Short statements, positive: “extremely versatile; completely waterproof; good protection; very good freedom of movement”. Negative: “ventilation is not optimally; including the inner jacket, the suit is relatively heavy”

“Roughroad: After the tube of the front wheel had bursted during a ride on gravel with 60 km/h, we only had to tap dust from the suit.”
